Title: Deltora Quest Volume 7
Series: Deltora Quest - 7th volume
Author: Story by Emily Rodda, Illustrator: Makoto Niwano
Read Before: no
My Comments: A whole bunch of (more important than usual) characters are introduced in the games. With it, you’ll either like the design or not, I come in the latter. It does not fit too well with the book’s descriptions, and the manga has changed the storyline somewhat. It’s more exaggerated and less clever, opting more for action (such as fights) rather than puzzle solving and plotting. As a byproduct, it is much more exciting to read but Doom is portrayed to be pretty much a superhuman. He’s cool and strong, just the sort of typical thing that is overdone these days. Anyway, much of the plot twists are watered down, to the point where they don’t mean anything (such as how the trio is betrayed after the Games and Doom’s intent). Overall, it was an interesting volume.
