Garfield 2
A fairly disappointing movie, I was expecting one that would give me some laughs (like the first movie). A few scenes into the movie and you can already guess what the plot is going to be, to me, that's pathetic. It ruins the enjoyment when you know that the two cats' lives are going to be switched and that someone is going to attack Garfield (whose in the role of the Prince) to gain the property and land. Even if you can forgive this, the humor doesn't quite work most of the time. They're either overdone or just plain not funny. It was surprising to see so many animal characters, that talk and help out, this made the movie not seem like a Garfield movie but something you'd expect from a Babe movie. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Jon and Liz had too little screen time (how Garfield acted in their presence was always amusing). By the middle of the movie, it dragged on, as we were just seeing the exploits of Garfield in his new role. Dargis' actions were questionable, and he was too quick and rash in his plan to get rid of the Prince (and things just spiraled out of control afterwards).
