Comments: A story focusing on the wolves set in the same world as Guardians of Ga’Hoole. It feels like a classic growing up story and while there is no violence, conflict or fast paced action, the tale of a wolf with a birth defect is gripping. We follow the tale of Faolan who was left to die due to a sprayed paw. He was subsequently nurtured by a grizzly bear and throughout the story, we see how Faoloan discovers his instinctual understanding of the ways of the wolves and also his place in the world, not grizzly but yet not a wolf either. Each event is meaningful and you can see Faolan grow in front of your eyes. This is a solid enchanting tale.
