Book Review: Dance of the Deadly Dinosaurs
Review: #60
Title: Dance of the Deadly Dinosaurs
Series: School for Heroes - 2nd book
Author: Jackie French
Read Before: no
My Comments: In terms of the events, it is a much better and a lot more interesting than the first book. I found that this is a bit more well thought out and it is not as childish or weird. It carries quite a bit of suspense as there are a few things that the author has hinted at, but has not revealed it fully yet, which primarily is the reason this book is so much better than the first. You would know what the outcome would be, but you don't know how it is going to happen. In this book, they travel to the apparently most evil universe but it wasn't what I had expected, I think it wasn't what anyone had expected, which makes a more interesting read. The plot is ok, and the execution is acceptable, although it’s by no means fantastic. The characters have really really improved, with a bit more depth to them than the first book. The character of Yesterday is very intriguing, and although the main plot has finished (saving the main character’s mother) there is potential for another book, and one that I do wait eagerly.
