Book Review: Flight of the Fire Thief

Review: #80
Title: Flight of the Fire Thief
Series: The Fire Thief Trilogy - 2nd book
Author: Terry Deary
Read Before: no
My Comments: I wouldn't say this is a bad book, but I don't think it is that great a book either. It’s entertaining and there is a lot of puns and humor that does make you chuckle and laugh. The story is quite good, and the way the trilogy fits today is quite intricate and fascinating. The suspense does get a bit annoying, as you would need to get to the end of the third book to get the final answer that you wanted to know. It’s based on Greek mythology, although reading the Percy Jackson books, the way it’s portrayed here and the personality of the gods and even appearances just doesn't seem right. The story may get a bit dull for a while, as there are some events that are dragged out or seem completely irrelevant but overall I think the author has created a good story. It doesn't have that pull or attraction that keeps you sucked in and reading it til it’s finished.
