Mayoi Neko Overrun! Drama CD (Run 08-12)
Run 08 Exciting Woodland Exploration ~Start-up Chapter~
A great, but fairly short chapter, obviously from the title, it’s continued from Run 06, and it was hilarious. Turns out that the thing chasing them is a wild boar, and although some typical things happen, I thought it was good and they worked. It’s good enough to go and listen to it again. (Length: 2:29 mins)
Run 09 This is a Death Flag
Well, it’s back to being a bit bored again, after the excitement of the last chapter, everyone is back together again, and coincidentally, the boar fell off a cliff (with Takumi in the last chapter) and they now have food... kinda wtf to be honest. The running gag of Takumi waking up and saying to Fumino about a dream he has is worth a chuckle whenever it’s done. It’s not terrible, just a bit uneventful for something of this length. (Length: 7:31 mins)
Run 10 Our Clothes were Washed Away
It’s a bit more captivating than the previous chapter, but the ending is quite contrived… I guess even when it’s only sound, they have to add a little bit of fan service in. I seem to get a feeling that the hot spring that was created right at the end is what is going to be focused on next chapter (as well as some other things…). The misery of Chise is quite funny, after she faces the fact that she is useless. (Length: 5:31 mins)
Run 11 Southern Country Hot Spring Steam Murder Case
The story comes near to an (unsatisfying) end, so there they are, having a bath at a hot spring, *sigh*, they just have to sneak that in aye. Anyway while they were in the middle of, a rescue chopper comes and the chapter ends. Of course, Takumi once again sees something he isn’t supposed to and gets smashed by both Fumino and Chise. (Length: 3:32 mins)
Run 12 It Wasn’t a Dream
Typical ending, after being rescued the plane is crashing again. It is a disappointing ending; I wished they made a better one, at least it’s finished now, it felt like by this time, it was dragging on for a bit. (Length: 3:39 mins)
Overall
I guess it’s a good thing if this felt like a typical episode, but if it was really animated, then I would say it has the feel of a filler. The whole story is a bit weak, but it was still fun to listen, honestly though, it felt like dragged on for most of the chapters.
