Book Review: Transformers Prime: A Rising Darkness

Review:  #130
Title:  Transformers Prime:  A Rising Darkness
Series:  Transformers Prime - comic adaptation
Author:  adapted by Zachary Rau
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  One word:  disappointing.  This comic adapts the first two episodes of the Transformers:  Prime series, and it does a pretty bad job.  It takes screen caps, chucks it into a panel and boom, there’s your comic, it feels cheap and tacky.  The scenes don’t flow together very well and the dialogue doesn't work, it was a whole lot better in animation.  I think it was a bad choice taking screen caps instead of an artist drawing, as there were blur lines, and sometimes, the speech bubbles don’t correspond to the person talking (or at other times, characters have their mouths open to seem like they are supposed to be saying something).  It was unengaging and boring, especially if you had seen the episodes already, if not, you’re going to have a tough time understand some of the plot points.  A somewhat lacklustre comic and poorly done, I’ll give this one a skip if I were you.
