Book Review: D.Gray-Man Vol. 20

Review:  #221
Title:  D.Gray-Man Vol. 20
Series:  D.Gray-Man - 20th volume
Author:  Katsura Hoshino
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  In this volume, we learn about Kanda’s past and how he came to what he is now.  Well, that’s the idea, the result?  It feels like a mess once again, although less so than the last volume.  The problem here is that there are just too many things happening, and it gets really confusing, whether from the events that are happening or the way everything is drawn.  However, it kept me turning the pages, as it was, in the very depths of it, very interesting.  So, the partial truth about Kanda’s condition… is not as impressive as you would have expected.  Some of the concepts are still a bit hard to digest and accept.  Who knew the Black Order could have had such a dark past, it’s really surprising, and yet, they have not improved much.  Once again, the ending pulls through, and you can’t help but feel sorry for Alma and Kanda, almost as if you’d understand them.
