Book Review: Chaos Effect

Review:  #311
Title:  Chaos Effect
Series:  Hero.com - 4th book
Author:  Andy Briggs
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  Wow, I am speechless.  The author’s writing style has improved so much when compared to the first book in this series it is simply amazing.  The story that was told within this novel was addictive and absorbing.  Throughout the whole book, you’re presented with unanswered questions, but the way they were presented were balanced enough not to get annoying, and the answers were satisfying.  You emphasize with Toby (the main character), and a lot of things are resolved here.  The unfair disadvantage for the main characters was very well done, and how they ended up in victory is a story worth reading.  Simply put, the plot was very well done and the way the final villain was defeated was brilliant, and an action packed rush.  Toby’s jealously was understandable and justified, and I liked how everyone made up with each other by the end.  The deaths were meaningful.  However, the only flaw I could really pick up was the way the series was presented, in two separate but intermingling series of books.  Here, we couldn't see what was happening on the other side (Jake Hunter’s arc).  This feels like a final book in the series with everything that has happened but surprisingly, it’s not.
