The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
A bit of a disappointing film to me, since it was so boring and bland (unlike the book). It seems that the writers tried to spice things up and add in more action... at the cost of changing some things around (if you can't change it to something better, don't change it at all). As a result, there were many scenes in which it was lame, and in the end, doesn't make it more exciting than it was before. There were many moments where it was cringe-worthy. Sure, the book might not be the most exciting of books, but the movie adaptation was so boring that I found myself often just drifting away (this is not helped by the long running time). The best bit was probably the end where the final battle was taking place, and even then, it was more of a display rather than a real fight. A lot of things weren't explained clearly, stuff that would explain why subsequent events would happen, so if you hadn't read the book, you might have difficulties understanding some of the plot. The best part of the movie would be the music used, since it's so grand and moving. The special effects were well done, especially since the movie heavily relied on them.
