Book Review: Cage of Eden Volume 1

Review:  #357
Title:  Cage of Eden Volume 1
Series:  Cage of Eden - 1st volume
Author:  Yoshinobu Yamada
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  The concept is interesting; a group of students go through a plane crash onto a solitary island inhabited by animals that are supposedly extinct millions of years ago.  You won’t realize it at first but the events in this volume are quite horrible, as in they’ll shock you deeply if you’re unprepared.  Disregarding the blood and deaths, the atmosphere is one of vulnerability and always feeling that the next moment could be your last.  The mystery of everything is presented in an average way, it doesn’t elevate and it never gets to the point where you’ll be really eager to find out what’s going to happen next.  In some panels, it’s hard to decipher what is happening since it feels so messy.
