Book Review: City of Time

Review:  #400
Title:  City of Time
Series:  The Navigator Trilogy - 2nd book
Author:  Eoin McNamee
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  It started off fairly bland and normal and it still takes a fair while until things start rolling.  The concept was interesting and while there wasn’t anything spectacular, it somehow draws you in and you want to know how all this pans out.  The world was interesting.  Some of the ways in how ‘time’ was dealt with, like it was a physical substance like water, felt awkward and contrived.  There were some good characters but most were fairly stock standard with nothing too special about them.  The way one of the main characters turned into a ‘dog’ was odd and in the end, it felt like it didn’t matter (and only served to stretch out the pages).
