Book Review: Ottoline at Sea

Review:  #414
Title:  Ottoline at Sea
Series:  Ottoline - 3rd book
Author:  Chris Riddell
Read Before:  no
My Comments:  The story and characters lack charm, and it is overly reliant on a gimmick.  What’s the gimmick?  The book comes with some glasses and you need to wear them to see some hidden stuff scattered in the illustrations throughout the book.  This is also the reason why the illustrations only have green as a colour.  Without the glasses… you lose the ability to understand the motivations of one of the main characters.  The story itself wasn’t that captivating or amazing.  It was fairly boring, random and at times, just does not flow from one page to the other.
