Garfield: The Movie
I like the Garfield comic strips and I quite enjoyed this movie. It still retains most of Garfield's world such that it feels familiar. The use of CGI for Garfield is inevitable and it can look fake at times, but the model and animation was well done. It must be more than a slight annoyance for the actors in having to pretend and move as though Garfield is physically there. Anyway, the story is simple, but it actually adds to the charm. It's nice that most of the movie focuses on the everyday life of Garfield and only near the end where we get an antagonist. Garfield retains his sarcasm with his remarks, and there are a lot of puns. While it's not the funniest dialogue around, it enough to make it amusing. It's good that the length is only 77 minutes long as it was already starting to get a little bit stale by the end of it. Overall, it's not a horrible movie and was actually quite fun if you can get over the fact that it's not going to have a complex plot.
