The Goonies

A good premise but you better not take the movie too seriously because there are a lot of plot holes and weird moments.  Overall, it was an enjoyable and fun movie to watch.  It started off a bit bland and you end up waiting for the movie to pick up pace and get to the good parts.  The idea is that a group of kids stumble upon a treasure map, follows it, and discovers the hidden treasure after adventuring through underground tunnels.  They past booby traps, all the while being chased by some bad guys.  The movie doesn't start to get interesting until nearly halfway, where they finally get through some deadly traps.  The editing needs some work because random scenes/actions break up the coherency.  One moment, all would be well, the next, someone does something that's weird and you're left thinking, what the point of that was.  There were a few unexplained things too, the main one being who Sloth was, more backstory on him would be better, otherwise, he felt like a character just because someone wanted him to be there.  There are some funny moments along with exciting and intense chase sequences, but the story feels too much all over the place.
