Hotel Transylvania
I went into Hotel Transylvania without high expectations but this movie exceeded them and was very enjoyable. The premise was good in that it was a monster hotel in which there were no humans. The actual plot can be seen as one that has been done many times over. Basically, human arrives, falls in love with monsters, father gets the human away but realises his mistake and needs to bring him back. However, the journey was a good one, filled with good gags. There were many scenes in which the actions of the characters were funny. There was an almost musical feel about the movie, I almost thought the characters were going to burst out into songs more than once (there is a good singing sequence at the ending though). The ending was great and you genuinely feel happy about the characters. There weren't any annoying parts, the story did slow down at the middle when Johnny (the human) went about the hotel stuffing things up. Overall, a surprisingly entertaining animation.
