Predator 2

When you first hear the idea of Predator 2 now taking place in a city, what comes to mind is the alien Predator stalking through the city, stealthily eliminating humans and a game of wits play out between the predator and prey.  Sadly, this is not the case and the movie overall is pretty horrible.  It starts off with an all-out shoot-out that is supposed to be impressive and great fun to watch.  Instead, we get these dodgy actors waving their guns about and the movie ends up seeming like a B-grade sequel on a cheap budget.  It doesn't get any better afterwards as the plot and pacing becomes a mess.  There are no explanations on the motives of the Predator, no sense or rationale on the Predator's choice of prey.  It takes place too much in the dark such that it's hard to decipher what is going on and it wasn't due to a choice of skill to as there are not good horror scenes.  The film outstays its welcome and should have ended twenty minutes earlier.  A disappointing movie that loses all the spirit of the original, there's not suspense here or the feel of being hunted, lost in hopelessness.
