Mission: Impossible III
The best Mission: Impossible movie in terms of action. It starts out with an intense action sequence that lasts for half hour in which Ethan Hunt goes on a rescue mission. Of course, this also serves as a intro for other characters, who get regulated into the background by the climax of the movie. Mission: Impossible III goes with the tactic of showing you a scene near the end of the film, such that you know where it is going to go. This somewhat ruins the movie in that you know the bad guy is going to get away, you know Ethan is going to get captured and tortured. Other than that, there are some small twists thrown you way. The story itself isn't too spectacular and we are never told what the weapon is. In a way, it makes the movie redundant by the time it ends because you feel as though nothing important has happened. It does not reveal much to you, being a series of set pieces designed for visual spectacle rather than provoking thought.
