Book Review: Nowhere to Run

Review:  #472
Title:  Nowhere to Run
Series:  Unstoppable - 1st book
Author:  Jude Watson
Read Before:  no
Comments:  At first, it felt like another typical Cahill adventure, a new and powerful nemesis shows up ready to destroy the Cahills.  Well, that’s still the case here but at least it’s not as farfetched as the Vespers arc was.  It is slightly more believable this time but the sheer coincidence of some of the things that happen is not impressive.  You emphasize with the main characters due to the unfairness of their situation.  The villains are also brutal but there will be a few scenes where you wonder why they didn’t keep on attacking since it was obvious the villains don’t care about witnesses and appearances.  The story made you want to keep reading and I liked how they had toned down the whole “Cahills are superior” angle.  It can still drag on for a while but it has a solid and intriguing story.
