Book Review: Skulduggery Pleasant: Armageddon Outta Here

Review:  #515
Title:  Skulduggery Pleasant:  Armageddon Outta Here
Series:  Skulduggery Pleasant - companion book
Author:  Derek Landy
Read Before:  no
Comments:  Armageddon Outta Here is a compilation of all the short stories ever released or the Skulduggery Pleasant series, including The End of the World and the short stories in the paperback versions of the book.  Furthermore, there are three new short stories and one new novella.  This is a fantastic collection; the short stories are interesting and fun.  One of the best inclusions is the timeline which map out when the short stories take place in relation to the main books.  It puts things into perspective about what the characters know or do not know, what events have taken place and what’s going to come up.  Not only is The End of the World a decent novella in its own right, but the new one, Get Thee Behind Me, Bubba Moon was fantastic.  It is a horror story and it contained an engrossing plot and was an addictive read.  The other standout was The Wonderful Adventures of Geoffrey Scrutinous which was very intense.  A great collection that’s surprisingly cohesive.
