Book Review: Missions of Love Volume 5

Review:  #537
Title:  Missions of Love Volume 5
Series:  Missions of Love - 5th volume
Author:  Ema Toyama
Read Before:  no
Comments:  While not be per se, Missions of Love Volume 5 strays too much into the cliché area, to the point of making the dialogue and scenes very awkward and cheesy.  You have the typical “rumors say if you kiss in the Ferris wheel, you will be together forever” and also the overdone scenes of the main characters misunderstanding each other.  The dialogue can border along amateur and the ending is quite out there, feeling weird.  Character actions are explained but that doesn’t mean that it’s rational.  Events can be repetitive as it is basically Mami constantly trying to drive a wedge between Yukina and Shigure, but then act weak so that Shigure will make up with her.  On the other hand, the art is good but that’s really the only thing that’s going for this volume.
