Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
A Game of Shadows is a sequel to the 2009 film. The full cast returns in this sequel and they have managed to make this bigger, better and more fun to watch. While the storyline isn't as elaborate as the original, it managed to carry its momentum throughout the two hours. The plot strays away from the mystery puzzle solving that you would expect and more towards action, with a lot of scenes with loud bangs, gunfights and fistfights. There is a scene towards the end where it is very chaotic. It was fun to watch but then as the slow motion shots begin, you also begin to wonder whether it belongs to a Sherlock Holmes movie. Robert Downey Jr. remains to be a very characteristic Sherlock, the humor and peculiarities more forefront. He steals every scene he is in, his dialogue and actions were amusing and fun. The movie soundtrack was also very good. The ending where the antagonist was brought down left some to be desired, and was a weak ending overall.
