The Time Traveler's Wife
The Time Traveler's Wife is based upon the novel of the same name. The plot is self-explanatory actually, it stars Henry who can time travel. However, he does not have control over when he travels and where he travels. This is a romance film, Henry visits Clare from when she was an early age and they eventually marry. The film then portrays their life together, including tension and complications due to Henry's sporadic travels. It deals with the concept of time travel well, using the concept that you cannot change the past, and what you do when you traveled back has already happened. While it wasn't too engrossing, it was intriguing and kept your attention, especially towards the second half when you knew something big was going to happen. The ending is bittersweet and had a lot of meaning behind it. While the pacing could have been sped up, The Time Traveler's Wife is a solid film.
