Book Review: No Game No Life Vol. 2

Review:  #571
Title:  No Game No Life Vol. 2
Series:  No Game No Life - 2nd volume
Author:  Yuu Kamiya
Read Before:  no
Comments:  After Sora and Shiro's stunning victory in the first volume and becoming Elkia's King and Queen, they set their sights on obtaining more knowledge of the world and planning where to strike next.  They obtain a Flugel, a higher race by winning through a word game.  The word game was clever and you have to slowly read through and digest what has happened in order to fully understand how they won.  Then the big unexpected thing happens and they challenge the Werebeasts, in an effort to win all their land, they bet their race piece, i.e. their rights as human beings.  The volume finally ends on a huge cliffhanger and with no idea what is going on.  Volume 2 really sets the tone of the series, being witty, clever and very funny.  There were a few moments where the dialogue was a bit rude and shocking (Izuna from the Werebeasts).  Otherwise, a fun light novel that'll keep you addicted.
