Book Review: Attack on Titan: Before the Fall Vol. 2

Review:  #588
Title:  Attack on Titan:  Before the Fall Vol. 2
Series:  Attack on Titan:  Before the Fall - 2nd volume
Author:  Ryo Suzukaze
Read Before:  no
Comments:  This second volume of the Attack on Titan spin-off has a lot more action and intrigue.  After Sharle finds Kuklo in the dungeons, they end up plotting their escape and once free, Kuklo decides to finally see a titan to determine whether he is truly a titan’s son.  After sneaking onto an expedition to outside the wall, he meets a real titan.  The action sequences that result from this is intense, and while it doesn’t convey the same sense of hopelessness as other battles against the titans, it instills excitement.  The volume ends on a cliffhanger but we all know that Kuklo will not die.  Overall, this second volume of Before the Fall manages to push the plot forward a lot more than you would expect.
