Book Review: Return of the Mummy

Review:  #645
Title:  Return of the Mummy
Series:  Goosebumps
Author:  R.L. Stine
Read Before:  no
Comments:  Return of the Mummy follows Gabe’s return to Egypt during another summer holiday ready for the biggest discovery yet.  His uncle and cousin are ready to open up the tomb of a long lost prince, touted to be even more important and bigger than King Tut’s tomb.  The scary part here is supposed to be the supernatural element of the mummy coming back to life.  It’s not very scary overall and the mummy only comes back to life towards the end of the novel.  Being such a short length, the plot doesn’t have time to build up the suspense and falls flat as a result.
