Book Review: Welcome to Camp Nightmare

Review:  #646
Title:  Welcome to Camp Nightmare
Series:  Goosebumps
Author:  R.L. Stine
Read Before:  no
Comments:  Welcome to Camp Nightmare is actually one of the scarier books in the series, with scenes that genuinely creeps you out.  It feels like it goes too far at times, what with people torn to pieces “off camera” to weird monsters showing up in broad daylight.  The plot follows Billy who goes to a camp but it is not what it seems.  When his friends start disappearing or having unusual things happen to him, coupled with all the counselors hiding things and generally not very communicative, it creates a mysterious story that keeps the reader going.  You could see a twist ending coming but unfortunately, it was somewhat lame and isn’t truly satisfying.
