Book Review: Cage of Eden Volume 20

Review:  #654
Title:  Cage of Eden Volume 20
Series:  Cage of Eden - 20th volume
Author:  Yoshinobu Yamada
Read Before:  no
Comments:  This volume takes a while to get into the swing of things but once it does, it keeps putting forward mystery after mystery.  Some of these new mysteries are answered, but most are not, and it keeps teasing how close the group is to finding it out.  The whole volume is spent exploring the fourth and last remaining building.  It’s annoying when the characters keep saying that they have suspicions about what is happening but never reveal it.  The ending is also a major cliffhanger but given that most chapters end in a cliffhanger but becomes an anti-climax in the next, it’s nothing much to be excited about.  The author tries to increase the tension but ends up feeling amateurish and melodramatic.
