Book Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Vol. 2

Review:  #694
Title:  Phoenix Wright:  Ace Attorney Vol. 2
Series:  Phoenix Wright:  Ace Attorney - 2nd volume
Author:  Kenji Kuroda
Read Before:  no
Comments:  The second volume finishes off the arc concerning the spider death.  Wright goes to court against his arch nemesis Miles Edgeworth and it seems he is fighting a losing battle.  As expected though, he turns it around and the truth is revealed in an exciting manner that manages to capture the essence of the games.  The next sub-arc starts and concludes in the same volume, where a locked-room murder occurs.  It’s filled with mysteries in how the murder managed to take place and it is hard to deduce how it was actually done until it was revealed by Wright.  The courtroom drama gets predictable at this point since Edgeworth always seems to get the upper hand until Wright turns it around on the verge of losing via some quick thinking.  The truth of the murder was more disappointing and less intuitive than one would hope, but it was still a good story.
