Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
Fantastic Mr. Fox is a stop motion film based upon the Roald Dahl book. There are a few changes to the plot but is still quite faithful to the book. Mr. Fox had lived a life of crime stealing chickens and other poultry in the past but sworn off it after he had a kid. Now a few years later, he is getting that itch and yearning again but unfortunately incurs the wrath of the three meanest and cruelest farmers that he had stole from. This escalates rapidly to the point where Mr. Fox's family is running for their lives as well as endangering every other animal within the forest. The film has a quirky sense of humour, which is perfectly complemented with the stop motion. The animation itself is slick and looks amazing (even though the aesthetics will take some getting used to in the beginning). While there were slow periods during the plot, enough happens that you get invested into the characters and their fates. Plus, the music, particularly the chant about the three farmers were fantastic.
