Book Review: Attack on Titan Vol. 5
Review: #864
Title: Attack on Titan Vol. 5
Series: Attack on Titan – 5th volume
Author: Hajime Isayama
Comments: This volume is great in both its action, significance and also (finally) some explanation of the biology of the titans. While it does nothing to explain or hypothesize were the titans come from, at least we learn some of their characteristics, such as their healing powers, weight etc. There are various intense scenes including when Eren is put on trial to determine his fate, the ending of the training of the recruits and everyone has to choose where they go and finally, going up against the titans. Attack on Titan isn’t afraid to show the characters in a bad light to demonstrate the despair of facing such a powerful foe and knowing that you are about to die. It ends on a pretty big cliffhanger, one that is touted to be game changing.
