Book Review: Attack on Titan Vol. 4
Review: #863
Title: Attack on Titan Vol. 4
Series: Attack on Titan – 4th volume
Author: Hajime Isayama
Comments: Volume 4 follows the end of the wall breach with Eren in his titan form, carrying a rock to plug a hole. This only takes a chapter or so before it flashes back to the training days. We see how Eren handled himself, as well as Mikasa and Armin. Unfortunately, Eren is shown as a massive hothead, making enemies of various other characters and it can be a bit annoying when you consider how irrational he can be sometimes. Getting to know what the characters had to go through during their training phase allows us to sympathise with them, and feels the despair all the more once it gets back to the current events and seeing how many of them have died or perished. There were a few frames where the artwork was a bit awkward which detracts the experience slightly.
