Book Review: Prisoners of the Sun

Review:  #887
Title:  Prisoners of the Sun
Series:  The Adventures of Tintin – 14th book
Author:  Herge
Comments:  Continuing on from the previous volume, Tintin and Captain Haddock continue their search for the Temple of the Sun in order to save their friend Professor Calculus.  They travel through plenty of places, surviving various dangers (both man and nature), showcasing how versatile Tintin can be (and how lucky he is).  While there’s no mystery solving at all, it is still an exciting plot because of the sheer number of tight spots that they find themselves in.  As you get towards the end of the story, you start to wonder how it is going to finish with the limited number of pages left.  It ends up being a clever conclusion with Tintin showing off a neat trick, and ending on a fantastic joke.
