Book Review: Sword Art Online: Progressive Vol. 7

Review:  #884
Title:  Sword Art Online:  Progressive Vol. 7
Series:  Sword Art Online:  Progressive – 7th volume
Author:  Reki Kawahara
Comments:  After the cliffhanger from the previous volume, it all finishes here.  Separated once again into various viewpoints, thankfully it resists the urge to constantly swap between the different battles.  On one hand, we have Asuna and Kizmel infiltrating the camp, on the other, we have Kirito in his duel against Morte.  And finally, we have the rest of the frontliners just arguing and almost coming to clashes.  While the battles take up effectively the whole volume and can feel dragged out as a result, it was a satisfying conclusion.  There is a tendency for the series to use clichéd and cheesy humor which feels too over the top at times.  As most of the focus on the third floor was on the Kizmel sidequest and the clash between the two major builds, we only get a brief mention on how the floor boss went, and how the rest of the sidequest was completed.
