Book Review: Explorers on the Moon

Review:  #890
Title:  Explorers on the Moon
Series:  The Adventures of Tintin – 17th book
Author:  Herge
Comments:  The second part of the story involving Tintin going to the moon, as unlikely as it is.  However, it is jam packed with events and becomes a really interesting and exciting ride, opening up plenty of thought provoking elements.  Trouble follows Tintin everywhere and this is no exception.  With the mysterious power in the previous volume continuing their ways, Tintin is put in many dangerous situations.  What was disappointing was that not everyone got their just desserts.  Haddock and the pair of detectives are great comedy, although the stupidity of the detectives makes you wonder how they survive in the first place.  The pacing is good and it is tense up until the last moment, this is one of the best volumes in the series yet.
