PACKAGING AND CONTENTS:
Leafa, from Sword Art Online II, comes in the standard figma box, which is its usual quality, so it looks good and feels nice.
The sides have stock photos, as does the box, showing off the various accessories and poses that it can achieve.
As expected, there is a variety of accessories including two alternate faces, additional four pairs of hands, a sword and its scabbard, a locket, and stand extension parts.
It's a nice collection of accessories, it's not too many, but covers the major pieces that are iconic to the character.
There is also a thick clear plastic zip bag to store all those accessories if you do not wish to keep it in the packaging.
The standard clear figma stand is included, where the arm has two hinges.
Finally, the inner cardboard sleeve can also be taken out to form a cardboard stand.
FIGURE:
Onto the figure itself, as expected, it looks great and the material used is of a solid quality.
The plastic itself is not of the hard shiny plastic, it has a soft touch to its material. The sword in its scabbard slots into a loop at her waist.
Face sculpts can be a bit iffy but it manages to capture the character fairly well here.
There are two alternate faces, one is an angry shouting one, while the other is an embarrassed face. To change faces, you just have to remove the hairpiece, then pop out the face. It's simple and quick to do.
Changing hands are also easy, you pull them out and slot the new one in. As they are somewhat small in size, you just have to be a little bit careful when twisting them out as they can be a tight fit sometimes.
Unlike some figma's, Leafa doesn't require the stand to stand on her own, but if you want her to strike some more actiony poses, then the figma stand easily tabs to her back.
Naturally, as a figma, there is an emphasis on articulation, and Leafa can pull off many poses. She is flexible and if you think of a pose that a human can do, she can probably pull it off.
The locket is on a piece of string but you still need to take her head off in order to put the locket on as it isn't wide enough to go over her head.
Since this is Leafa's ALO form, she has fairy wings, and they just peg onto her back.
Leafa's able to hold her sword but you'll need the hand that's specifically for this reason.
She has both left and right hands that's in a grip, so she can hold the sword and scabbard at the same time.
The part of her dress that is below her waist may look like it'll get in the way but it is made of a more flexible material, and are on hinges which can be adjusted away from her legs.
The best part of figma are the many options you get and Leafa doesn't disappoint here, she'll look good whether standing in a neutral pose or if you want to dynamically pose her.
OVERALL:
Leafa is another solid entry into the figma line. She complements the other characters from Sword Art Online well. There were no shortcuts taken in matching the design and color applications to the anime model so if you are a fan of the character, she's well worth grabbing.
