Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
This third and final movie in the prequel trilogy does a nice job linking the previous two films, wrapping it up, and providing the beginnings of the original trilogy. Unlike Episode II, this movie was amazing and great to watch from start to finish. While you know what the ending of the story is going to be (an unavoidable fact for prequels), what kept you going was how they were going to get there. Since you know what to expect, such as Anakin's children being born and separated, and Yoda's and Obi-Wan's exiles, you want to find out the reasons for events to happen like that. While Anakin's turn to the dark side was weak and instant (they slowly built it up but then halfway into the film, they felt "oh no, we're running out of time, just make him turn already"), the plot on how the Republic turned into an Empire and the eradication of all the Jedi's (after hyping up how powerful they were, they seemed to have been killed awfully easy) were intense. The final act went for too long with all the lightsaber battles, you wished that they would get on with it. General Grievous was a pretty cool character too, with his four lightsabers, too bad he was weak and didn't use those four lightsabers to their full potentials. What felt weird was that while Amidala was such a strong-willed character in Episode I and (to a certain degree) Episode II, it felt like she changed a lot here, more weak and inconsistent with her previous behavior. A great film that sets up the original trilogy films and builds upon the Star Wars universe very well.
