Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Feeling the repercussions of freeing Jack Sparrow at the end of the first film, Will and Elizabeth are forced to track down Jack in order to trade for their freedom. The sequel is bigger and more action packed than the previous movie but is still plagued by an overlong running time. The part involving Jack on the island where he was chief was funny and enjoyable but ultimately did not add much to the plot. The movie revolves around various parties trying to find an object that is very precious to Davy Jones. The special effects is impressive, especially the ones involving all the moving tentacles of Davy Jones. The climax was fun with all the sword fighting and dashing around. Of course, the kraken attacking the Black Pearl is a memorable scene too. Jack remains charismatic and less selfish this time around, at least he did not run in the face of danger.
