Die Hard 2
Die Hard 2 takes place at an airport, where a group of terrorists takes over the airport control tower in a bid to rescue a drug lord who was being extradited to the US. It is not as good as the first film because the feel of urgency isn't as pronounced or felt here. The terrorists doesn't take up a hostage situation and lacks the cleverness of terrorist group in the first film. Die Hard 2 feels like a mismash of ideas that doesn't gel together that smoothly. It also ends up being more boring with John McClane's character being more of a nuisance to the situation rather than being integral. He's not forced into the situation yet he butts his head in anyway (even though he had good reason, it doesn't feel as legit). You also see the crazier side of him, such as his maniacal laugh when he kills the terrorists, like he is enjoying it and filled with glee, which seemed over the top. The plot lacks credibility in many areas and is a bland film overall.
