Death Becomes Her is a black comedy with a plot which is conceptually interesting but also fairly predictable at the same time. Ernest and Helen are about to get married until Madeline steals him away. Years later, both of them end up taking a potion that causes them to become immortal and they try to get to an understanding with each other and with Ernest. The pacing of the film is actually not too bad, considering that once both of them become immortal, there's not much story left to tell. The characters aren't truly likeable and none of them develop much over the course of the film. The comedy element is done well in certain scenes but for most of its length, it's doesn't tap into that area. The special effects were great for their time and still manages to stand up quite well. Overall, Death Becomes Her is an average film which you won't really regret or be glad you watched it either.
