Toy Review: Transformers Tribute Evolution 3-pk Bumblebee

Review:  #551
Name:  Transformers Tribute Evolution 3-pk Bumblebee
Brand:  Transformers
Allegiance:  Autobot
Line:  Tribute
Year of Release:  2019
Size Class:  Deluxe x3
Mold Status:  repaints from the lines Transformers (2007 movie), Age of Extinction and The Last Knight

PACKAGING:

As part of the Tribute line, this box set comes in a fancy box and it is designed to look like a garage.  At first glance, the outer packing is nothing special being just the metal garage door.

However, the front flap can open up (they have Velcro dots) to reveal the three figures in their vehicle modes inside.  It is actually a nice display with some nice background artwork that sells the set as "Bumblebee's Garage".

Taking the figures out and it will reveal that the background is on a cardboard stand if you wish to display the figures like that without the box.

The back shows off the three figures used and which version of Bumblebee they are supposed to represent.

The side of the packing also shows off a nice piece of art depicting Bumblebee.

THE FIGURES:

The set contains three figures, which represent Bumblebee's various alternate modes in the movies but it isn't a complete representation.
- 1977 Camaro Bumblebee from the 2007 film
- 1967 Camaro Bumblebee from Age of Extinction
- 2016 Camaro Bumblebee from The Last Knight

The three figures are all decent, although the weakest one is the Age of Extinction mold as it distinctly feels cheaper and flimsier compared to the other two.

The set also demonstrates the improvements in the aesthetics and engineering of the figures as time went on.  The 2007 mold feels chunky compared to the newer figures.

OVERALL:

At its original price, the set is not really worth the price.  However, it was discounted quite heavily and frequently for a while so if you don't have the molds, then it is worthwhile.
