Toy Review: Transformers Cyberverse Jetfire (Warrior)

Review:
#712
Name:  Jetfire
Brand:  Transformers
Allegiance:  Autobot
Line:  Cyberverse
Year of Release:  2019
Size Class:  Warrior (Wave 5)
Mold Status:  new

JET MODE:

Jetfire, as expected, transforms into a white and red jet with a booster / thrusters pack on top.

For the Cyberverse Warriors line, expectations has to be set low, and it actually exceeds that.  This is a fairly decent jet mode, even if the robot legs are visible from behind.

Warrior class is roughly Deluxe size, but slightly smaller, as shown above in comparison with TLK Bumblebee.

There is a gimmick here and it's a lot of fun.  Hidden in the thrusters are a pair of spring-loaded flip out missiles.  It works well here and are completely unobtrusive.

This is a surprisingly good jet mode.

TRANSFORMATION:

Getting Jetfire into robot mode is simple.  The nose folds in and then the cockpit folds down to form the chest.  The arms come out from the sides, while the back of the jet splits to form the legs.

ROBOT MODE:

Jetfire's robot mode is as decent as his jet mode.  He actually looks pretty good here without any major compromises.

He has the thrusters pack as his backpack, and it's not too bad there, at least it gives Jetfire the power of flight in robot mode.

The head sculpt is a bit basic, but suits the aesthetics of the rest of the figure.

In terms of size, he's about the height of a Deluxe, although it must be noted that the Warrior size line has severe cost-cutting, all his limbs are hollow, whether they need to or not, or whether they look good or not, they just are.

The best thing about Jetfire is how he has the proper articulation points that you would expect of something this size (which is not a given for the Warrior line).

He has joints for his head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, so he's able to strike many standard poses.

The thrusters on his back are on multiple hinges that allow them to become shoulder mounted weapons.

As the triggers for the spring-loaded missiles are on the bottom, as you place the thrusters on his shoulders, it'll flip out the missiles.  This is actually a lot of fun.

This is a solid robot mode, despite the excessive hollowness, the spring-loaded shoulder mounted missiles are awesome.

OVERALL:

Jetfire is probably one of the best figures in the Cyberverse Warrior line, which has been mostly a disappointment.  The jet mode and robot mode are good, while the robot mode edges out to be more fun thanks to the spring-loaded shoulder missile feature.  If you can find this figure on sale, then he is actually one of the ones that's worth picking up.
