Book Review: The Horror at Chiller House

Review:  #488
Title:  The Horror at Chiller House
Series:  Goosebumps Horrorland - 19th book
Author:  R.L. Stine
Read Before:  no
Comments:  A few disappointing things with the Horrorland series is that they aren’t very scary and it usually has an unfulfilling ending.  The Horror at Chiller House had a fantastic start; it has a promising prologue which set the scene for some scary things to happen.  It’s probably limited by the allowable page numbers but the plot ended up being a bit simple and messy.  You would have thought Chiller, having such a traumatic childhood would be more deranged and violent but he gave up so easily in the end (although it was still believable).  The ending just became a bit abrupt with the hunter game ending so quickly.
