Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
The final part of the original trilogy, At World's End continues straight after Dead Man's Chest. Not only retaining the lengthy run time, it is the longest at nearly three hours long. It wouldn't matter if the film had good pacing and relevant events but you can easily cut thirty minutes to an hour of scenes which, while it may be amusing (or not), did not add any significance to the plot. At World's End is also contains some of the weirdest things that happen in the Pirates movies, from the way Jack Sparrow escapes Davy Jones' Locker to the key plot point of Calypso. It tries to put too much into the plot, with all the betrayals and characters constantly swapping sides for their own agenda, to the point where it can be hard to keep a track of. The climax battle upon the ships was the highlight and it was fun to watch all that action. By the end of the film though, because it feels so different in tone, you feel as though the first half of the film was pointless.
