Book Review: Extinction 2: The Explosive Conclusion

Review:  #591
Title:  Extinction 2:  The Explosive Conclusion
Series:  Extinction - 2nd and final book
Author:  Lizzy Wilcock
Read Before:  no
Comments:  Extinction 2 completes the story started in the first book, which seems really rushed.  The plot of this sequel is for the eight chosen children to travel through time and collect the purest sample of all four earthly elements.  As expected, the way that they succeed in collecting these are rushed, and it seemed as the plot went on, the author cared less and less.  The result is that the big finale, in how the human race was saved through causing an evolution to the human heart, seems improbable and lazy.  Extinction 2 has too many plot holes, and suspends your disbelief too much to be taken seriously.
