The Legend of Zorro
A sequel to The Mask of Zorro, to be blunt, this film is not as good. However, The Legend of Zorro is still an enjoyable swashbuckling adventure film. Ten years has passed since the ending of the first film, Zorro and his wife now have a son, but their relationship is strained. With the introduction of Count Armand who has taken a fancy to his wife, Zorro must win his wife back and also prevent his evil plans from becoming successful. A lot of the chemistry and wit which made the first film so enjoyable has disappeared, but Zorro remains somewhat charming. The pacing can slow down to a crawl and this makes the film bloated, cutting out 20 mins would have been easy and made it easier to sit through. The action sequences remain excellent and the casting of villains was perfect. Overall, while it has a simple plot, and predictable events, The Legend of Zorro is a worthy sequel.
