Robots (2005)
Robots is an animation set in a world of robots, living their normal lives. The beginning excels at showing off the alternative robotic version of everyday things that we do, such as making a baby (literally assembling one) and washing. The quality of the animation is fantastic, with the bright visual colors and a lot of detail in the world, which helps immerse you. The plot is a predicable feel good one where the protagonist, Rodney, sets out to the big city to achieve his dreams. He encounters some hiccups along the way, meets up and befriends a group of rusty robots and ends up saving the world. This doesn't detract from its message of friendship and family though with a great ending. There were periods of time where the pacing slowed down and it wasn't engaging enough to keep you engrossed but otherwise, Robots is a solid film.
