Rango (2011)

Rango stars a pet chameleon who ends up stranded in the desert.  Being a domestic pet for his whole life, he struggles to adapt to the wild.  Nevertheless, he finds himself at a town and having the opportunity to be whoever he wants to be, he ends up taking on the moniker of Rango, a deadly marksman.  He exaggerates his exploits and becomes the town's sheriff, only to find that the town has a water problem.  The rest of the film has him finding out the source of the problem and where the water has all gone.  The villains are transparent although the ultimate reveal wouldn't be what you would expect.  While the plot strays and meanders towards the halfway mark, the humor helps keep you going.  There are some clever dialogue, while it is not present in every scene, there is enough to make the film enjoyable.  The wild west theme is done well and Rango is a good film for both adults and kids.
