The Pink Panther is comedy film and a reboot of the series of the same name. Surprisingly, the film turned out to be quite enjoyable and clever. While the plot isn't anything special, a clumsy, self-confident and generally useless policeman named Jacques is put in charge of finding the murder of a soccer coach, and find out who has stolen the giant pink diamond known as the Pink Panther. What makes the film engaging is the frequent visual gags which are usually stemmed by a clueless Jacques. These gag s are simple humor such as someone falling down or Jacques accidentally hurting someone but it fits with the character so well that it feels natural. The plot doesn't take itself too seriously which makes it easy to understand and enjoy. While the climax of the film isn't too spectacular and the final revelation of the murderer isn't too shocking, The Pink Panther is worthwhile to watch.
