The Nut Job
The Nut Job is about an outcast squirrel in a park, who only looks out for himself. A typical setting, where the rest of the park's residents work together, unknowingly following the orders of a selfish leader, who is hoarding food for himself for the winter. The outcast squirrel whose name is Surly ends up finding himself on the wrong side after destroying the park's winter food stash and gets banished from the park, and the rest of the movie follows him as he finds a huge stash of nuts at a nut store. Over the course of the film, you get the predictable life lessons of being with friends and helping others in need. It actually ends up being a decent movie as it isn't too corny or lame. That said, there were plenty of moments where it was just too predictable. The enjoyable part was that Surly's plan on getting the nuts coincides with the store's owners to rob a bank. Overall, The Nut Job is not as forgettable a movie that gets wiped from your mind instantly after watching as you'd expect, but still pretty forgettable.
